OUR PURPOSE

Kappa Omega Alpha is a professional fraternity organized to cultivate knowledge through continuous professional, academic, and personal development. Uplifting one another through shared values, our chapter is rooted in community, leadership, and service. Motivated by a desire to empower members, the fraternity emphasizes professional development, civic engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration among its brothers with interests in business, law, public policy, and related fields. Through mentorship, advocacy, and meaningful brotherhood, Kappa Omega Alpha strives to develop ethical leaders committed to creating a lasting impact both on campus and beyond.

PROFESSIONALISM

Professionalism is a central value of Kappa Omega Alpha and reflects the fraternity’s commitment to preparing members for success beyond the classroom. Through professional development programming, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, the fraternity encourages members to develop the skills necessary to become confident and effective leaders in business, law, public policy, and related fields. Brothers are given opportunities to strengthen abilities such as communication, public speaking, teamwork, leadership, networking, and critical thinking while building meaningful relationships with peers, Kelley alumni, and professionals.

Each semester, Kappa Omega Alpha hosts workshops, guest speaker events, panel discussions, and interactive case competitions designed to expose members to real-world professional experiences. The fraternity has welcomed speakers from organizations such as the Maurer School of Law and continues to build relationships with alumni and corporate partners who provide guidance, mentorship, and career insight. Through the fraternity’s Kaplan LSAT Prep corporate sponsorship, members interested in pursuing legal careers are also provided access to valuable preparatory resources and professional support.

Kappa Omega Alpha strives to create an environment where professionalism is practiced both inside and outside of chapter events. Members are encouraged to hold themselves to a high standard of integrity, accountability, and respect while supporting one another’s academic and career ambitions. By fostering a culture centered on leadership, preparation, and continuous growth, the fraternity equips its members with the confidence, experience, and professional network needed to succeed in their future careers and make a meaningful impact within their industries and communities.

Through professional development events, philanthropy, social activities, and everyday experiences together, members form strong bonds that extend far beyond the classroom. Whether attending tailgates and events, collaborating on projects and case competitions, or supporting philanthropic initiatives such as fundraising for the Rob Liu Memorial Fund, brothers develop a strong sense of trust, accountability, and connection.
